My guess is that A) The political operatives/handlers around her are just fawning yes men/women B) The political operatives/handlers around her are incompetent or C) She ignores the political operatives/handlers around her because she thinks the smartest person in the room.

My vote is for C.

A. She got tons of unconditional attention during the campaign, and after the election had to go back to Alaska where she was out of the limelight…and she missed it—the clothes, the lights, the cameras, the screaming fans—so she quit being governor and is now spending all her time travelling around “real America” where she can relive the energy of the campaign.

Even that, however, isn’t working too well for her as she got bored three days into her book signing tour and walked out of a signing half way through the event.
