I’ll repost one short brillliant point brilliant (only because it’s what I’ve been saying):

“to be white in America is to be not nonwhite, which is why it was possible, in 1961, for a white woman from Kansas living in Hawaii to give birth to a black baby.”

I honestly don’t get how what the point/meaning of that part of it is suppose to be Rogue could you help explain it to me a bit more clearly?
