We’ve been told many times that hating Islam isn’t racism!(tm) so I guess not.

It has the same origin as racism of course, ‘fear of the other’.

And a lot of these bigoted fuckers call themselves Christians. I feel sorry for actual Christians to have these idiots associate themselves with them. That’s gotta piss rational religious people off something fierce.
