Celibacy was also not acceptable. Anyone that remained childless, even if they were unmarried and over the age of 25, was required to pay a “celibacy tax” which was a huge burden for the many Romanians living in poverty. It was cheaper to pop out a few kids.

Ask him if that’s “moral” or “prolife” in his book.
