re: #321 William Barnett-Lewis
Ok, lizard foodies, here’s a quandry for you.
I am giving a dinner party at the end of the month. I have a head of cabbage and a cut up chicken I’d like to use together. Suggestions?
Depends on how fancy you want it… I’d think about doing a chicken and cabbage stir fry. If you wanted something more casual, I’d probably do a chicken braise with cabbage and noodles. I’ve done this one before… and let me tell you that it’s SO GOOD!!!
Another option, do a roast on the chicken, and then do sauteed cabbage and apples with carraway. That would be a bit more ‘formal’, but would be a classic. I’d probably do it with roasted new potatoes or cut regular potatoes into smaller chunks, serve along with some good rye bread and butter and I think you’d have a winner.
