I see a lot of people complain that liberals can be pompous and stuff. And you know what? Maybe I can be but you know how’s taht any different from a conservative Christian convinced his Holy Book is God’s absolute truth. I don’t know if my theological code is correct, I just know it suits me and the way I live. How’s it different from the smug Libertarian you meet that tells you that “Oh you’re a liberal, you don’t understand how economics works because you haven’t read this and this.”

im a liberal because i have read this and that and i do understand how economics works

and for a host of other reasons like
- people should be held personally responsible for misusing their rights - ie 2A
- we don’t separate families or warehouse children (in freakin warehouses!)
- each of the 5 words “liberty and justice for all” matter
- some people need help. some of those people need help because past and present federal, state and city governments do not ensure those five words

actually though, im a non-ideologue moderate. each issue on its merits
