An option that is not bound by actual costs. An option that can rely on tax dollars over premiums.

It is a rigged game.

What does this even mean? Are you pushing the idea that the public option, if even offered, will be designed to drastically undercut insurance companies and drive them out of business? Because that isn’t true. The whole reason single payer is off the table is because both the Dems and the Repubs are beholden to the insurance companies and the pharmaceutical industry.

BTW, just to clarify— I’m not saying “ObamaCare will be great!” We don’t even know what ObamaCare would look like in a final form yet, so I can’t have an informed judgement about it. Also I have infinite confidence in the capacity of gov’t to fuck things up.

But I can’t be automatically opposed to the very idea of reform because our current system certainly isn’t working.
