Well I’m back. I read the link and from what I can gather the main cause of the protest was that a march on Saint George’s Day was denied a permit while a march on Mohammed’s birthday was granted. Several groups were involved in the protest including soccer thugs and, unfortunately, the BNP.

Two questions: Is protesting the contempt of Muslims for British troops wrong?
How do you exclude unsavory elements from such a protest?
