re: #334 FFL (GOP Delenda Est)

I had a hankering for a slice of pizza for about four days. (Have generally been avoiding pizza for the past few years due to the carb hit.) Yesterday I finally decided to hit the pizza joint a few blocks away to get a slice for lunch.

Went in. 6-7 employees (including an elderly gentlemen who I assume possibly was original owner who has handed running the place to an offspring) including who I assume was a delivery driver. 1-2 customers in the place as well waiting for orders or eating.

Not a single mask in sight.

I just asked for a menu and then left.

I’ll pick up a frozen one at the grocery as an alternative.

There’s a place up the road from me that we went to a month or so after the pandemic started. One of those independent joints that changes hands every nine months. Now it’s a Panchero’s.

Anyways, I stop in there because I figure “Hey, support the little guy and what not.” Four people in there: me, another customer, the clerk, and an elderly gentleman I assumed to be the owner.

Everyone but the elderly gentleman is masked. Dude is hanging back and being friendly, but he has the unmistakeable smug grin on his face of The Guy Who Knows The Pandemic is Just The Flu And I’m Not Wearing a Mask Because Tyranny. Just smiling and nodding at everyone coming.

Stopped going in shortly after that. Fuck you, asshole.
