OK, if TJ had wanted a “wall of separation” why didn’t he just explicitly say it in the constitution? Why “beat around the bush” and let it be interpretted years later?

This is the same kind of weasel worded pretzel logic people use to try to claim the second amendment does not give American citizens the right to own firearms.
