I do wonder though, notwithstanding the report exonerating the parents, whether it would be wise to forcibly return the child to the custody of her parents. My concern is that if she hates her parents and does not want to live with them, then she may well run away from home or hurt herself. Even if she has been brainwashed by a religious cult, wouldn’t it be safer to keep her in a neutral location while she is deprogrammed?
I honestly cannot see how forcing her to live under her parents’ control would be in her best interests at this time.

But that would not be the fault of her parents; the difficulty would reside within her.
