yes! people forget how SS was barely a thing when it was passed.

What some people haven’t forgotten is that passing social security secured electoral wins for the Dems for years— and a 4 time POTUS.

That’s the other reason the GOP wants it shot down by any means necessary. (And why we’ve been seeing wingnuts attacking FDR).
