Decided to annex? I know I wasn’t the brightest bulb in school, but I quite clearly remember the Texans wanting to be annexed, not the other way around.

Ah, but in The Glorious History of the Almighty State of Texas as told by every idiot redneck, secessionist teabagger, and revisionist fucktard in this state, Texas agreed to be annexed on a provisional basis and still has the ability to go back on the whole annexation thing. And annexing Texas was a simple thing, really.
