The Weather Channel is starting to play games with the snow totals for NYC metro, claiming that we’re going to get less than they originally forecast.

I’m not buying it.

Neither is the Weather Service or Channel 5 and the radar is suggesting 20-30 inches total. Long Island is going to be hammered. Where they might see less is Western NJ (Sussex, Hunterdon, etc.)

TWC is saying NYC will see 8-12 additional inches of snow on top of what was already seen. All the local newscasters are showing far more to come than TWC.

TWC is the outlier here, so unless they’ve got something all the others don’t, I’m not seeing it.
