Remember, it has been a Republican mayor of Indianapolis who has publicly gone after this bill and made clear those who refuse gay people won’t do business with his city, and it was a Republican state legislator in Georgia who tacked on an anti-discrimination amendment onto that state’s otherwise identical ‘RFRA’ bill, which resulted in the bill being tabled.

So not all nor most Republicans are ‘thugs’ in any way. Using the insult ‘rethuglicans’ shuts down conversation and hardens the positions against the speaker of people who otherwise might listen to him/her.
