The Tea Party got their scalp. Good for them. The rightwing media screamers are going to be gloating all over the radio and innertubes today. Now the Dems can sit back, watch the chaos, and let the Republicans cut each others throats.

Unfortunately, in the process, I suspect that the American people will end up being victims of a bit of that blood-letting. Boehner announcing that he’s bowing out likely means an even greater push by GOP wingnuts for a shutdown. After all, what’s he going to do to stop them?
