Greece: Protests planned over US arms to Israel

Left-wing opposition parties said Tuesday they will go ahead with protests at a Greek port despite the US decision not to use the facility for an arms shipment to Israel.

Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said plans for shipping US arms to Israel had been changed to avoid Greece. “I think the Greek government had some issue with the off-loading of some of that shipment in their country,” Morrell said. (AP)
