I am not buying that argument. The medical system is not broken. What is broken in the legal system in this country. Shove some serious Tort reform through congress and there will not be any problems. Ask any doctor what they spend on unnecessary tests and such and how much they pay for malpractice. Fix those issues first and I suspect a huge part of costs will go away.

I agree tort reform is a part of the cost, but not a significant one compared to drug and high tech procedures.
