I heard Democratic New York Comptroller Hevesi attack Bush in a public speech on a different occasion in Albany, and use the “bullet between the eyes” phrase, refering to what he’d like to do to the President. The crowd was overwhelmingly Democrat, and they loved the red meat, as Hevesi had anticipated. Hevesi, of course, ended his public career in disgrace as a thief convicted of stealing public funds. IIRC, he did jail time, as he should have. Rough justice yet again.
