If true, they might be thinking of “going over the top” as it is now called.

Traditional cable idiom of pre-programmed networks sold in general packages is starting to see declines. For the first time, last year the number of traditional cable TV subscribers went down.

The new model being pushed, after all these experiments with Hulu, Netflix, Youtube, etc. is that the show makers will directly sell their products through an on-demand system.

Dick Dynasty could probably find itself in even more homes if they work on it, given all this publicity.
