I don’t really see these things as equivalent.

Having a calm discussion about what texts say, without any effort to convert (and I have never seen that at LGF*), etc., isn’t the same thing as a derogatory comment towards (in this case) believers. The equivalent would be discussion of the evidence that led one to conclude that there is no deity, which I think several Lizards have done respectfully and not received downdings or pushback for.

Just my two cents again.

* I agree there is room to debate what VB is really up to with the pies.

I probably phrased that with the wrong analogy. Any dogmatist (atheist, christian, muslim, jew, buddhist, etc.) is going to rub people the wrong way. I actually like the education about faith texts (and traditions, lifestyles, etc.).
