I don’t know why pro-Israel Jews would not want to be connected to the Christian Right, since that voting bloc is uniformly pro-Israel. I have some relations in Israel right now, doing Bible study, in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. They would fight and die for Israel without reservation.

Many Christians would prefer that the Jews finally see the light and convert so that they won’t burn in hell. My mother thought this. Also, at least in history, Christians who befriended the Jews, and apparently held the first-sentence view, even if not said out loud, ultimately turned on the Jews for staying Jewish. They took it as a personal insult. And so, even today, even in America, Jews are sometimes skittish.
