re: #32 Dangerman
i know im in the minority on this
‘why’ someone wants a particular weapon is imo a pointless and politically loser argument.
saying nobody ‘needs’ one of X will never move the needle.
too many people will disagree, for whatever reason.forget the iron
in this political environment, we will never ‘ban’ future sales of any specific weapon.
we will never reduce the number of X weapons that are already out there, voluntarily or by force.a gun is either legal to buy, sell and possess, or it’s not.
if it’s legal, no one should have to justify why they want one, unless it’s legal and also somehow regulatedfocus on bad behavior.
if you own, possess or even just handle a weapon, you must control it at all times.
if you dont, then face the consequences.
We managed to end the Tommy gun. No, we didn’t outright ban it. But we can basically make it impossible to possess one. Stop civilian sells of the ammo. Stop production, Require registration and transfer of ownership. Make it illegal for one to be out in public.
Your comments are similar to those that were made when the government decided cars needed to be regulated.
