When Trump threatened to execute those who angered him — sounds like the few times I promised to kill someone over some minor issue. Hyperbole that everyone translated as my being really irritated, not a literal threat. Trump was involved with WWE and it is common for them to make over-the-top outrageous threats that meant nothing. He doesn’t understand that such language is totally inappropriate for someone in his position, outside the professional wrestling community.

Remember, though - he also took out a full page ad in the Times calling for the Central Park 5 to be executed. And near the end of his term in office, he pushed through more federal executions than we’ve had in many years. I think he’s quite serious when he talks about killing people.
