I understand what you’re saying, but as I read it, this legislation isn’t outlawing unions, it’s about preventing forced membership and payment of union dues as a condition of employment. It seems to me, one could consider unions as a political class, so it could be argued that by that same logic, the status quo already limits freedom of assembly to those of the correct political class.

Unions shouldn’t be outlawed, but neither should membership be a condition of employment.

If a job position has a union already built into it, why would you not want to be a union member?

Do you really think the cost of dues you save would be worth the greater pension and MUCH GREATER job security?

Penny wise pound foolish if you ask me…
