We don’t hear much about it nowadays, but there were anti-war folks back before and during WWII. Most were riding the “isolationist” bandwagon, arguing that Europe/Asia’s affairs are none of our business, even if the rumors of millions of Jews being housed in concentration camps were true.
Which is why it took Pearl Harbor (And Germany then declaring war on the U.S.) to get us openly involved.
