I will do them the courtesy of thinking that what they imagine is a little white-gowned angel—I suspect they think all these kids are white, too, mind you, not just their gowns—thankfully blessing Jesus every night for having saved them from their devil parents.

As opposed to, say, screaming “YOU’RE NOT EITHER OF MY REAL DADDIES,” and biting the adoptive ‘parents’ at every opportunity.

They might actually be ready for that. The AFA strike me as the kind of group that are down corporal punishment of the “beat the kid with 1” plumbing pipe” variety. [I don’t recall the names, but there two or three sources on “Christian parenting” out there that set the standards, including what to beat your kid with.]

After all, their objective is pious, obedient children…not happy or well-adjusted ones.
