Things will get hairy when we see a situation like that in Spain or the Netherlands, where the two centrists parties could come up with a majority together and have to turn to extreme right or left parties to cut deals.

Right now, that is neither necessary nor likely, as no other party would even consider governing in a coalition with the extreme right AfD or the extreme left Linke Partei
