I never can understand the binary mindset. It’s apparently impossible for them to see a world in any shade of gray, to accept the possibility that Brown was troubled but otherwise a good kid. They have to believe he was a violent thug willing to kill over cigarellos.

I’m sure this will come as a real shocker, but every teenager I ever knew - including me - was troubled. It comes with being a teenager.

Of course, I wasn’t black so I didn’t worry too much about being shot dead by the cops “just because”.
