I don’t disagree. In fact, I take it as progress that a conservative (? just guessing; tell me if I’m assuming incorrectly) admits that the GOP has never acted like it was aware of - or cared about - that fact either.

Last, spending money on things which will save money later or create jobs is not automatically wasteful spending. This is the biggest problem I have with the current GOP party line - they act as if they didn’t just spend us into a record deficit and that their expenditures weren’t “socialism.”

It’s not a record anymore.

It’s been tripled in less than half the time.

And during the worst recession since the Great Depression, not during the longest period of economic growth in a generation.

You are comparing apples and oranges by comparing Clinton’s/Bush’s economy to what’s happening during Obama’s term.
