Very self-absorbed. Overly proud of his limited achievements. Ever question leads to some lengthy discussion of CCJ by CCJ. That’s why it’s boring, and even Milo’s having trouble keeping up.

A sample.

Incredibly self-absorbed, to the exclusion of all else. Like Dr. Matt, I was only able to tolerate the interview for about 10 minutes. Having been married to a malignant narcissist for a couple of years, I’ve had more than my fill of it. People and events are only of importance in their relationship to the narcissist—if they have no bearing on his image/ego, then they are less than irrelevant and he won’t even pretend to have empathy for them.

The world of the narcissist is like a box with a stage inside, and he is the star. Bit players may intrude from time to time (hence the refernce to the “lesser” Charles Johnson when mentioning our Charles), but they’re merely annoying hands reaching inside the box. They always end up being dismissed, as does any person who fails to be 150% supportive and constantly stroke his ego. Criticism, even of the mildest & most constructive sort, is seen as a deadly betrayal. If his wife hasn’t already learned that, she will soon enough. I feel for her.

Definitely take lots of breaks. Getting up close & personal with that kind of pathology for any length of time isn’t healthy.
