My wingnut brother believes there are 3 real powers in the world and we all need to work together: US, China, and Russia. He is totally on board with the Trump affiliation with Putin. And he doesn’t seem to think that other countries — Japan for example — really matter. He clearly doesn’t understand how small the Russian economy is — that their only leverage is their vast nuclear power and the cyber warfare they are waging to reduce the rest of the world to their level.
