Lets hear it for the best leek dish evah!

Wash them, cut of green tops and the bottom, slice lengthwise, but not through, rinse in running water, cut into one-inch pieces and then cut through.
Melt butter in a pan, stick the leeks in, coat in the melted butter, turn heat to very low. Put the lid on it, sit occasionally, and after about five to seven mintues they’re steamed in their own juice.
Season with salt, pepper and some grated nutmeg - there ye go!

Now you know why we Welsh love our leeks!
