One time I got called in for jury duty and made it to juror selection - it turned out to be a sexual abuse of a child case. One of the juror questions was “If we found the defendant guilty, could we sentence the defendant to probation, which (by law) we had to consider”. My opinion was Hell No, so I got dismissed. Only later I realized that the question probably got rid of a lot of good people. I found out later the defendant took a plea deal for 2 years in prison.
