China is heavily subsidizing green technology. I don’t much care about their motivations. We’re doing… what? Not even paying lip service anymore according to the new House majority. They are announcing “climate gone” with glee.

Well, we have more wind power up and running than China does, and we’re building more. We’re also moving fairly quickly toward CF and then LED lighting. For all our failures in the public sphere, the sheer incentives to efficiency and the advantages of “free fuel” are driving the U.S. toward a high-efficiency, more-green fuel cycle.

We can ramp this up. We won’t be starting from scratch.
