Some have presented the argument that our invasion of Iraq somehow played a role in these uprisings.

One one hand, I cannot imagine people in Tunisia, Libya, Bahrain or Egypt saying “Would’t it be great if we could be more like Iraq?”

And in fact, what might be happening on the streets of Baghdad right now? Might the people there be toppling Saddam on their own without us having had to spend biollions of dollars and thousands of lives?
