re: #352 Lidane

Other signs that he’s being a fool: talking to Sean Hannity without his lawyers knowing about it, and putting up a website without their knowledge/consent.

If I was an attorney, those would have been immediate grounds to fire my client even if I knew where the hell he was. If they’re going to be stupid enough to put up a website and talk to a political pundit without me knowing about it, then fuck ‘em. They’re on their own.

If he’s left the state and is on the run, that’s as good as an admission that his self-defense claim is bullshit. If he truly believes he was in the right, he would have turned himself in by now and would go into a trial with his conscience clear. Running doesn’t help him at all.

He’s not been charged, and its entirely reasonable to try to use legal maneuvers to avoid being charged. It is also understandable that a man who is currently widely despised would want to prevent the public from knowing where he is. But one could still make sure that the prosecutors office knew where you are, and one should come in if they do ultimately decide to charge you. Running says to everyone that you think you’ll be convicted and the great majority of judges will allow prosecutors to argue that in court.
