Maybe because my career is in & around with a very large bunch of people that do face a highly elevated risk… My perception is quite different. That and I know from personal experience what good CCW or home defense training is and can accomplish. Does, in most cases.

It unfortunately doesn’t matter how frequent this is, since it’s highly publicized.

When perception flies in the face of the reality, it is the perception that needs to change. Or we are abandoning the facts.
