Look, I’m in the field, and student access to the use of these funds is the functional and practical equivalent of direct transfers to the institution. The proceeds are wired directly to the school in every case, and the criteria for eligibility for your students to receive such funding require at least the appearance of neutrality in certain controversial matters. In the case of politics, purging a student version of a national party from your campus removes all appearance of neutrality. Harvard should have Title IV yanked for its resistance to ROTC, and LU should have its PPA nulled or suspended until they reverse the Democrat ban.

There you go. It cuts both ways.
