That’s silly, because that has worked the other way around with a bunch of people I know.

They were conservative in the early 2000s, they got “mugged” with the so-con right wing hate machine, they just shrugged, decided they didn’t want to associated with people who wanted them dead, and started calling themselves moderates and voting for Democrats.

Remember all those so-called South Park Conservatives? Those guys aren’t calling themselves conservatives anymore.

WUB… I was only explaining the meaning behind the saying. It has nothing to do with literal mugging. That’s the only point I was trying to make.
