Haven’t seen it, but a relative of mine whose (who’s?) opinions on films and actors/actresses is freakishly identical to mine said the movie was crap.

I hate to say it, but yea.

Of all the classic literature there is, how much of it is just sitting around and waiting for 21st century special effects. 3D, CGI, Pixar, whatever the hell. And he goes and re-writes practically the one and only story that would fit that bill perfectly.

There’s a 1970’s version that is really terrific. I think it’s done in stop motion? Like Clash of the Titans was. I rarely see remakes because it ruins my nostalgia. I’m not going to see that one.
