That’s not just a random executive. Don Mattrick is the President of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft. He’s the guy that’s basically in charge of the whole XBox division of the company.

Yeah, I’m not sure how much more tone-deaf they could be. Always-on system, DRM a must, Kinect required, and oh by the way, if you’re one of those peasants that can’t afford a broadband connection, just buy a 360.

I’m not sure one could imagine a more spectacular self-destruction than this.
