I suspect that Putin’s “end the violence” solution is for the protesters to go home, leave his puppet president undisturbed, and be good little citizen drones.

Honestly, his displayed capability to actually govern is so poor, I don’t think he’s going to be able to end this on his own terms. I don’t think he’s used to compromise or negotiate. And the WHOLE WORLD is sitting here watching him act like a last-world tyrant.

I’m glad they had the games in Russia, so we can focus on that shithole like a laser. It seems like all the scrummy people who can’t function anywhere else are gravitating to corrupt Russia. Now we can shine a light on that place.
