Yeah, the water year down here started out strong with those fall rains.
But… nothing since. And we’re supposed to be in the middle for what passes as our “rainy” season.
So while the water-year (starts in Oct) looked promising, and loquats sure appreciate that fall rain which encouraged them to bloom, it is beginning to look like this water year could be trouble.
Rainfall total since 1 Oct is only 6.13 inches, which might be “normal” if we had some rain in the next two weeks to add to it, but alas nothing in the forecast.
