I think you’re right to single out Beck as a turning point for Fox. Even they got uncomfortable with him after awhile - hence its eventual departure. The guy is super dangerous.

No, I have to disagree. Fox was doing the dog-whistle blowing well before Beck left CNN Headline News to join their team. Sean Hannity, Steve Doocy and Cal Thomas were really wading in that sewer a decade ago.
