He is a new species of Eagle.

Our next door neighbor down in Austin was from Nigeria. I never asked his last name, because I figured I wouldn’t be able to pronounce it anyway. We got along well, the two families.

The last day, he came over to say goodbye, and finally we asked his last name.

Yeah, it was hard to pronounce. It meant, he told us proudly, “Death.” As in, “Death is final, so take care of stuff right now.”

I’m really glad that I hadn’t known I was living next to Death.
