I was at Weather Underground when it happened. I just shut down everything and ran my diagnostics and now everything seems to be running fine. The message was in the center of the screen.

Sounds like it was a browser pop up window. Probably nothing to worry about. Just keep your virus software up-to-date.

My dad got hit by one called Spy Axe a few years back. This one throws up a warning from the tray at the bottom of the Windows taskbar. He went ahead and “subscribed.”

He got it from a friend of his, who he considered a computer “expert.” The “expert’s” advice was to go buy it. When I suggested he cancel his credit card, I was blown off, being told it was merely a life lesson.

And this is why I hate dealing with my family and the computers.
