We should probably be happy that Trump didn’t pick General Flynn. That could’ve been a genuine threat, a nominal Democrat crossover with legit military / security credentials, but the dude’s pro-choice stance killed any chance he had. From Trump’s perspective Pence is probably the next best choice remaining, just in that he doesn’t have the enormous negatives that would accompany Christie or Gingrich.
