anyway, i tried to go green today. we changed all the “gas guzzling’ light bulbs to the energy saving “curly” bulbs. the electricians took all the ‘bad’ bulbs out and screwed in the florescent ones and then “hallelujah” we cut on the juice and it was like a dungeon in there.
a dim lit basement. wow.
it looked like gramma’s house on a dark winter evening.
oh man, i said NO. i just can’t sacrifice my light like an idiot to go green.
they changed all the bulbs back to the regular ones.
now if i go green i have to get the dimmer switch changed in order to get the next brightness, or the green bulbs will burn out. etc. whatever.
so that was a disappointment.
and it was just light bulbs.
