Meanwhile, over at the Weekly Standard, Bill Kristol’s arguing that the GOP leadership should just let the crisis go unanswered through the elections, saying that the GOP would be better off avoiding addressing the issue because it will all fall on the President instead. There’s no “good answer,” i.e. no way to square the circle on how to fuck over Latinos without pissing them off, so the GOP should just hope that the whole thing serves as a drag on Democrats going into November.

This is how the minority wins.

1) By doing nothing they achieve their goals, and

2) turn people off of politics including participation. “Why bother voting when it’s pointless? Elections only matter when republicans win.”
